tiny home on wheels build
in the height of the schoolie conversion craze at the beginning of the decade, i was curious what price i could find buses at. once i found one in los lunas, i promptly purchased it after my work trip and set to turning it into a mad-max-ian rig to try and take up to burning man. given the pandemic that came the following year, those plans changed, and it turned into a build centered around our dear new mexico united soccer team.
cutting out seats, stripping decals, pulling electrical wires, installing a wood stove, putting in a bed, and kitting out my little short bus to fit a bedroom, office, storage room, kitchen, and bathroom took up all my free time for approximately 3 months. I have done many woodworking and just weird projects in the past, but seeing how quickly I was able to take my quick napkin sketch into a drivable vehicle was a huge confidence boost in my creative endeavors
